Francesco Guardi -inv.5805

The painting shows a view of San Marco square with the Palazzo Ducale on the left, the Libreria Sansoviniana on the right, and on the back ground the lagoon with San Giorgio Maggiore and the Giudecca islands. This view has been painted by Guardi in many works; one of them, of smaller size, is in the Poldi Pezzoli Museum.
