The setting composition of the three handles carved in the round of boxwood is similar in the three pieces: the base are rounded, standing, the female figures of the three main groups that symbolize the three theological virtues; Charity in the knife, Faith in the fork, Hope in the spoon. On the back, all three figures are enveloped, far above their heads, a long and winding acanthus leaf. The group of Charity is slightly larger than other two and is a woman in traditional clothing with a little child in her arms and another one at the feet, embraced his legs. Faith has beside a boy, resting on a branch of the acanthus leaf, and holds a chalice with the Cross inside. Hope has a boy next and tightens against his body an anchor. The metal part of the cutlery, except the knife blade, is of gold-plated brass. The style of the carving recalls the manner of Andrea Brostolon.
