The father of Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli had inherited the library from his uncle Giuseppe Pezzoli and from the abbot Giovanni Maria Pezzoli, whose portrait hangs on the wall. The library includes 3359 printed volumes from the 15th to the 19th century (incunabula, “aldine” editions, “16th century” editions, “Bodoni” editions and illustrated editions from the 18th and the 19th centuries): on the whole 1836 important works of literature, history, travel, science, theology and art history.
